ABOUT PROFESSOR JANE BURNS Professor Jane Burns is a global leader in mental health, wellbeing, and suicide prevention, with over 20 years of C-suite experience. A pioneer in digital innovation and workforce wellbeing, she specialises in co-design strategies that integrate the voices of individuals with lived experience into organisational planning.
Her transformative leadership roles include beyondblue, the Inspire Foundation, and the Young and Well Cooperative Research Centre. Her governance experience includes serving as Chair of Open Arms – Veterans and Families Counselling Service and on the Board of the National Disability Insurance Agency. An international keynote speaker and prolific author, she has been recognised among the Westpac Group’s 100 Women of Influence and won the Australian Financial Review Social Enterprise Award.
Most recently, in 2025, Jane was appointed Chairperson of NTIA Australia.
