Course information

First Aid covers the steps taken to help an injured or sick person in the first minutes after an incident has occurred.

The main aim of administering First Aid is to care for the injury or illness, with the intention of putting the person at ease and preventing any further discomfort. It's not every day we are required to use First Aid in the workplace, but preparedness is important - so you're confident in knowing what to do in case a situation arises.

This course aims to equip you with the tools needed to confidently respond to any first aid emergency you may encounter at work.

Course topics include:

  • What First Aid is
  • Signs and symptoms of injuries that may require First Aid
  • How to treat injuries sustained in the workplace
  • Emergency services and how to accurately report events
  • The importance of privacy and workplace procedures
